Checking in…

It has been a minute guys.

I took a break to finish my Masters coursework, after which I changed jobs, then COVID-19 happened. This year has been a lot. I have really debated whether to keep writing about money this year. This is because so much has changed.

We have been gung-ho about our finances for the last couple of years, growing together, saving together, challenging each other etc. But this year things have shifted for many people. Thousands have lost their jobs, many more are experiencing reduced income. As we say, biashara iko down kabisa.  Finally, even those who are lucky to keep earning money consistently, this year has thrown so many things off. The uncertainty is unnerving.

So where do we go from here?

I will keep writing.  I will focus a bit more on surviving these tough times and how to think about money, savings and investments in uncertain times. All is not lost guys.

More importantly, I want to listen to you.

How has your 2020 been like?

What are you struggling with money wise?

What financial decisions are you finding yourself having to make and its stressing you out?

What are you anxious about?

Leave a comment (even anonymously) or to message me either here or on my Twitter account. Let us talk about these times. I do not have all the answers, but I will listen and share my 2 cents. 😊
